New Trading Tool
We now have a fanatic tool to assist with RAM trading, feeexploer has been updated to include real-time pricing, total RAM allocation and now scatter integration for buying and selling all in one place. Feeexploer is a great one-stop shop for those who want to trade.
I have reached out to the developer to see if there is an API I can hit to create a functional trading bot to monitor the price and trade 24 by 7, so I will no longer will I worry about the price rising or falling while I sleep. Hopefully, I will have this working soon and will share the code on here.
If anybody would like to get involved with the code, please let me know.
You made a good choice obviously starting to trade ram, for me it's still too hot....
What will you programme this bot with?
Going to use Python
I followed you... i like your post.
Glad you like it, do you trade EOS RAM?

How does trading RAM work?
If I own EOS can I sell the RAM I'm allocated? Or do you have to buy RAM to re-sell it?
Hello mate
You can either sell the RAM you have (but not all of it, you need some to function) or do as I have been doing, buy some then sell when the price rises.
Ok interesting... so do you buy/sell for a period of time?
If I have 50 EOS and I sell the RAM then I guess that EOS would have to wait a lot longer than 3 days to unstake?
Ah I see, yeah you need to use liquid EOS, not staked. Once unstaked which as you said takes three days, you are good to trade with it. Check out my older post for more details, but that was before this kick ass site was released.
I make 50% on average per trade atm, The price will crash soon as they will be adding more RAM to the network, at that point I will dump a load of EOS in
Looks like the amount of people trading RAM has shot through the roof in the past couple of days. Could it be due to you mentioning this tool on Steemit or just a coincidence? :D
New traders will need to watch how this market behaves for a couple of days before they jump in. Have to be careful about the prospect of insider trading by BPs and developers too. Opportunities for developer shilling to manipulate the market.
Do you or anyone know if there are measures in place to counteract things like that?
The good news is that there will be no insider trading. RAM will be added at around 20% per year and be controlled by the system contract. This makes it automated and everyone will get a heads up on when it will happen.
I do hope my posts helped the market :-)
It's not really the addition of RAM that is the problem. For example BPs will know when their fellow BP and BP candidates will release a dAPP before ordinary token holders do. In order to fund a dAPP a developer may buy RAM in small amounts over a period of time - over what they need to release the dAPP. They then announce the dAPP which will in theory produce a spike in the price and the developer sells their surpluss RAM.
OFC I could be misreading how RAM and RAM trading works :D
"I do hope my posts helped the market :-)"
It is quite a coincidence :D
Great post, I just started trading RAM follow me please all new here. Also let me know if you get that bot, man I had a great trade night but no sleep.. Nice Yamaha 1100 in my back pocket now. Sweet.
Good to hear you did well :-)
