Bittrex update about supporting Forks and Airdrops
we will see interesting airdrops and forks in the comings days Like BTCP and MoneroV Forks and ETC airdrops and as always people assume major exchanges will support those because they did before or just hope they will.
Bittrex has made it clear, they aren't their responsibility to "claim" coins for the client in the mention cases above. If they do not announce it so it is not supported and If they decide it will be announced publicly and supported (mainly week or two before the event). they also don't encourage people to assume the exchange will offer this support without an official announcement.
in supporting will be taking on consideration the following criteria:
- If development team behind the project contacted exchange.
- A public developers (bitconnect team opposite)
- The coin has a Testnet
- Opensource code availability.
