Key Point for all Bitcoin Cash haters

in #bitcoin8 years ago

"Nobody is imposing Bitcoin Cash on you. To avoid it, you need to do nothing. If it makes you mad that people are doing things with Bitcoin Cash that you don't like, maybe you are the kind of person that Bitcoin itself was invented to help bypass."  ~Roger Ver

I love this quote, because it's spot on. The people hating and spreading FUD on Bitcoin Cash are mad that we are routing around their attempt to turn bitcoin into paypal 2.0. AXA-funded Blockstream has millions of dollars for trolls and shills to spread FUD about Bitcoin Cash and promote Segwit. Segwit has been proven to be unnecessary and bad for bitcoin - which is why the banks support it. Bitcoin Cash follows the code and economic fundamentals that made bitcoin great in the first place.

Let's keep bitcoin the way satoshi intended - download your Bitcoin Cash wallet today!

Whilst I'm not a supporter of BCC I think this is a good quote and despite some people demonising him, I think Roger is a good guy.

We all tend to get quite personally and emotionally involved in these things and it is a bit silly really.

It is natural that we will disagree on a lot of points but that doesn't mean we should fall out or go to war over changes to code.

None of us knows what will happen for sure and any of us could be wrong.

At its most basic we all want cryptocurrency to succeed because we know how broken the current system is.

You'll be a supporter soon once you realize that miners will be incentivized to steal coins from segwit transactions.

Go ahead though, use segwit transactions. I dare ya.

Pay to script hash is basically like this -- The last instruction is pay to any. If they can steal from segwit txos, why can't they steal from p2sh txos?

A crypto-currency needs secure wallets. Bitcoin has had good and secure bitcoin wallets. It seems that it might be easier to adapt all of these wallets that exist to use bitcoin cash than to adapt them to use segwit. It depends on good open source developers having enough time to support a given crypto-currency.

I wish I had more time on my hands to do more for this. We are seeing bitcoin split into several alt-coins.

We will see :)

Initially, you said that Bitcoin Cash was a non-starter. Now you've changed to "None of us knows what will happen for sure"

LMAO

I was just trying to be nice - you should try it some time. I still think it will still fail but let's see.

its really loveable and teach us many things in some words @ancap47

its really good quote

Time will tell who's right. I have no idea currently.

We don't need Bitcoin Cash! Bitcoin has being going along nicely the last couple of years - now this comes along just to upset and destabilize things. The current changes are good enough and will keep Bitcoin strong. Bitcoin cash is just a distraction.

The great thing is, if you don't like Bitcoin Cash, you don't have to do anything.

HOWEVER, you will still have access to an amount of Bitcoin Cash equal to the amount of Bitcoin you own. You can choose to just throw that money away, or you can trade it to me for segwit bitcoin at the current exchange rate.

Above all Buttcoin has been a relic for a long time bearly holding it's place thanks to the 1st mover advantage and ignorant zealots.

I'm sticking with Dash and Etherum and to a lesser extent Sia, Maidsafe,Factom. Bitcoin Cash is at least a coin that isn't a relic that belongs in a museum. The irony is most people are expecting BCC to take the fall when in reality it will be the Buttcoin that is going to fall.

In 3 year BTC will be called history and I don't mean it too positively. Even steem is a far far superior pick. On a side note; Why am I seeing too many parallels between BTC advocates and communist/socialist crowds/herds?
