Excuse my ignorance, but I am new to this and pretty confused. I've read for literally hours elsewhere about this and can't seem to find clear answers anywhere.
You say, "once you have the wallet private keys, and the seed. Save a copy of your public receive address in a text file on your desktop." As I understand it, to export the private key means to download a file that has the private key in it. Will it also have the seed in it or does that show up separately in this process? You show nothing about it here and I want to know exactly what to expect.
Also, what about the public receive address? Where do I get it? Does it also get generated during this process of exporting my private key? And why do I send my bitcoins there? Aren't they already secure in the address they're "in" or rather, were previously sent to? Why send to a new address?
Then you also say "Your wallet seed is not related to your password, a seed will give access to all your keys without the need of a password." What does this mean? What password are you referring to?
Also, what is the minimum number of things I need to get my coins on my own? Do I just need a single private key? Is that enough to get all my coins if I lost everything else somehow (lost my computer, my wallet application, etc.?) Or what about the 12 word seed, can I get by with just that and no private key? Is having both just a redundancy for security?
