I hope Kim has something cool up his sleeve, but it sounds like server based stuff that can get raided by guys with shiny badges. Bitcache likely just off-chain transactions that settle occasionally. That does scale but those aren't your personal bitcoins anymore. I dunno... we'll see. I think he's going to release something, but I'm skeptical it will be ground breaking stuff.
on top of that, I think graphene base would be much better for this and would allow more decentralization

His product will be really polished, but I doubt that anything will be more popular than megaupload was, before it was shut down.(I know that he's talking about megauploads relanuch with bitcoins)

I assume in all these years others may have tried and failed. It's not like selling an amazing car or a very funky gadget. I trust him, but I'm skeptical. Will see.

Kim Dotcom is awesome; i have actually been to his house once.... well... i stood out the front next to the sign and the guard house.
He has been putting a bit of effort into this one; i think i remember cryptic tweets nearly 1 year ago; i think he has the skills and the motivation (given his assets got frozen when he needed them most) to bring something massive.
He, of all people, show know how to plan something that won't get raided. I just don't see how he can store files without inviting heat from govt. If it's decentralized, then he's duplicating Maidsafe, torrents, etc. Color me curious!
Someone has pointed out that most of the stuffs claimed by Kim are bluff...
