Each week, you can scrape the Twitter accounts of some of the crypto world’s favourite influencers, traders and TA folk. If you run a sentiment analysis to see which coins they are mentioning, you can see which coins are mentioned positively, neutrally and which they are mentioning in a negative light.
You can take in data on unique influencers, retweets, favourites, volume and strength of feeling in sentiment.
Most traders calculate power through a weighted formula that takes into consideration volume, number of unique influencers and sentiment. The higher the score, the better, the lower the worse. There are plenty of sentiment analysis tools out there.
The understanding of Bitcoin and crypto in general, seems to be a demographic problem. It’s all the old men that are bearish and this is clear as day to see when monitoring tweet sentiments.
