Crypto’s will get smashed with the stock & bond markets at first. They will not be allowed to be a safe haven if possible, they must be feared in order to be controlled by the big banks. The people can try to change this, but the fear manipulation is very powerful & well established. I think there will be a good deal of time for cost average opportunity ahead.

Crypto will become a safe haven if the central banks and governments inflate or devalue their way out of any potential crisis that could occur. If they figure out a way to achieve a “soft landing” for the slowdown then it could lead to a longer flat market in the asset class.

At this point, crypto will not be a safe haven for mainstream investors if there is a big collapse. When shit hits the fan on wall street, no traditional investor is going to be looking to buy a relatively unknown asset to them that has lost 80-90% of its value in 2018. Over time, as people rebuild their portfolios they will begin to see value in crypto over fiat and crypto adoption rate will begin to increase.
