This is true but the current system is also not working because of the the lack of people understanding investing. 401ks are so crap, social security is pretty much gone. But the only ones we can really blame are ourselves for not going forward and learn investing and business ownership.
What do you mean "Social Security is pretty much gone?" You just "pretty much" disqualified yourself from making any qualitative statements!
By the time I retire there will be no money left in Social Security. The government continues to tap into it to pay off other debts. This is why big government never works :)
