One needs to be careful about all of the altcoins appearing. Also one needs to be careful about what exchanges to trust too. I have been scammed by an exchange yesterday and I bit the bullet.

I am reading a tweet that mentions to not deposit NYC into Yobit. It mentions that they are locking withdrawals. Of course I don't think it is NYC that is at fault. But that is just my opinion.

Here are a couple of my reference links.

Do your homework before investing in any new altcoins be it on the blockchain or on the Lightning Network layer. At a glance YObit.net looks pretty legit. It has real time price and trading updates but don't let that fool you.

I did a quick search on my two favorite exchanges, Kucoin and Bittrex and did not find a listing for NYC. I can understand that big risks deserve big payouts but sometimes you need to stick with what you know.

@unclemantis

yes alts are big risk its kind of a bet

I agree. It is like the stock market. Share values go up and down. People buy and sell. The question is this. Do you know what to buy and when to buy and when to just take your money and run and chase another dragon?

Happy trails.
