This guys story is awesome.   https://twitter.com/FelixWeis

Felix successfully traveled around the globe using only bitcoin. He used local bitcoin at every stop that he needed fiat for travel expenses. Ended up going through 27 countries and using 19 different currencies.... wow.

Bitcoin has come so far in so little time. Modern technology allows revolutions to take place in a matter of days as opposed to years or decades and this story is a great example of how strong the crypto community is world wide.

SteemIt is another prime example of how middle men are being removed from the equation and people can reward others for being HELPFUL. Rewarding each other for thinking together, coaching one another and simply understanding each others lives will allow this community to develop at an even faster rate.

As banks and VC's get rattled by the power that this community has accumulated since over the past 8 years; power which has been siphoned out of their donald trumpy, scrooge mcducky like hands, this revolution has taken shape and is speeding forward to one day, produce a more intelligently transparent global society.

I live in the USA. I'll assume people know how this country was formed and the values it once held paramount over all else: equality, democracy and freedom of speech. Sadly, those ideals seem to have been forgotten by many of the appointed politicians in Washington. And in the not so distant future, when the American people can all vote by block-chain and we no longer need these figure-heads. They will know how wrong they were.

Its a dream of mine to no longer see politicians spend millions on bad mouthing each other on national TV and instead to have that money feed a starving child, or shelter a homeless person.

Block-chain can take us there, but I fear that the same Scrooge McDucks that are clinging onto their last scraps of power will not allow the people to take back the freedom that was once ours.

Charlie Chaplin said it best, so Ill just leave you with this.

Random Rant over...
