Cryptos See Mild Movements After Market Surge, Bitcoin Holds Above $3,600

Saturday, February 9 - As the Coin360 data show, the main cryptocurrency faces modest gains and losses since the major market soared yesterday. Bitcoin (BTC) is stable at more than $3,600.

The BTC rose more than $200 on Friday, February 8, and reached a multi-week high of $3,691 throughout the day. Today's highest currency continued to move sideways, after which the stabilization time was about $3,660.

According to the statistics of transactionfee.info, the daily trading volume of BTC has steadily increased. As Cointelegraph reported earlier this week, the indicator almost reached the level of BTC as early as January 2018, when the value of the world's top currency was close to $20,000.

Ripple (XRP) is currently the second-largest cryptocurrency, with prices down about 1% that day and the current transaction price is close to $0.31. Its market capitalization is more than $12.7 billion - more than $260 million more than the next largest encryption, Ethereum (ETH).

The price of ETH is around $119. This week, the currency traded mainly around $110, and fell to a weekly low of $103 on February 6. Yesterday's market growth caused ETH prices to rise to the level at the end of January.

Binance Coin (BNB), Maker (MKR) and Litecoin (LTC) were the main winners of the day. BNB is currently the tenth largest coin by market value, has risen by nearly 3%, and growth has been fairly stable since February 6. MKR rose 3.2%, while LTC rose 3.5% that day. Litecoin has achieved double-digit growth since yesterday, surpassing Eos (EOS) and becoming the fourth largest cryptocurrency.

Among the top 20 coins, Bitcoin Cash (BCH) and Tron (TRX) lost the most on the day, down about 2% at the time of publication.

In industry news, the highly anticipated digital asset platform Bakkt operated by the Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) has completed its first acquisition. The move marks the finalization of the acquisition of assets by futures dealer Rosenthal Collins Group.
