That’s a great point yes BTC won’t die it just means that other coin shares the load that BTC has to carry which I don’t see as a bad thing! Block chains are terribley slow so trying to scale one will have its limits and I think 2 or 3 chains will be needed to carry most of the load maybe more who knows?
I also think that was a smart move, coins connected to people means that has a point of failure! People look to you for direction and with BTC it’s more community based!
