I did follow your recommendation and register with Gemini. I am still going to use a hardwallet (to some extent) tho, because ultimately that is the only way I will fully and completely control any Bitcoin (in the case of financial events in which all regulated institutions will be subjected for some period of time).

However, in my opinion, it was a GREAT move for the W. Brothers to form as a TRUST entity vs. any other type of entity:

Banks (in the traditional sense of the term) is a government licensed body that takes deposits (a bank is a borrower of your money) or issues bonds or stock and lends out the money raised to other parties or invests in securities. A bank’s profit on the most simple of basis is (interest earned on loans made) - (interest paid to deposit holders).

TRUST companies are organization who act as FIDUCIARIES, agents or trustees (hence, the name) in the administration of monies, trusts and estates. A trust company is like a faceless lawyer for a trust fund kid - they MANAGE (not CONTROL) funds, hold onto property, pay bills and distribute income. Trust companies have now evolved into deposit taking institutions as well (which muddies the waters between banks) but with different types of restrictions than banks (they typically are limited in how or if, they can invest deposits).

The duties of a FIDUCIARY include loyalty and reasonable care of the assets within custody. ALL of the fiduciary's actions are performed for the advantage of the beneficiary = YOU.

Thanks! @craig-grant (Hope it helps others understand (even more) why Gemini is currently an excellent choice)

Craig yuh Gemini tooo Maadd Tinggs rofl. The Mercury people. Smart

Thank you for showing this to us, i'm buying from coinbase but will use gemini now !
Your answer to that guy was awesome "it's not my bitcoin..."

Is Gemini by the Winklevoss brothers?

It takes about a week to get your account verified atfter that I think its far superior to Coinbase, Winklevoss twin always coming in secong tho haha

under the radar, top secret flow

Great information. I have been using Gemini for about 3 weeks and have been very happy with their platform. It is fast and smooth and I have had no problems at all with them. Happy trading everyone.

I believe more in decentralized exchanges but Gemini aint bad. And everything is superior than coinbase atm!

I write about crypto, personal life, sports and life on my profile. Will soon start blogging about food, travel and my adventures in Japan, South Korea, Taiwan and Philippines. You might be interested, love <3

Got to give to you Craig, you just got that down to earth mentality, Just keep it simple.
it was cool you helped out that guy the other day. I get what you say about Gemini, i almost joined, didn't like they wanted my bank user name and password.
My only difference would be I like the idea of a hardware wallet only because I don't trust anyone with "Trust" in their name!!! 😉

Thanks for the post @craig-grant I have been watching your youtube channel for quite some time and love to see you and your information on this platform.

Very useful insight onto what exchange to use in the crypto world, as we have seen many bogus ones and fees out the wazoo, I also very much like the idea of Gemini being a Trust as well! I will be doing business there from now on.

Jackson

I noticed it from past video, was able to register in gemini but the sad thing is it says it is not still possible to Japan... just watching you using gemini while waiting to be available in my country

Thank you,,,good info

u need to invest in a screen recorder for better quality it cost like 30 $ or you can download one for free... here is what i found...
http://www.hongkiat.com/blog/win-screen-recording-softwares/

also one little trick...

The Game bar is a toolbar which Microsoft meant for gamers to use to capture screenshots of their high scores, as well as video footage of their gaming skills. Despite the name, it is not limited to use within games, and you would be forgiven for having missed it as you browsed through the latest version of the operating system -- you're not going to stumble across it by accident.

Hit the Windows key and G, and a popup will appear asking if you would like to open Game bar -- there are no Yes and No buttons, but check the 'Yes, this is a game' box (you will have to do this the first time you access the screen recorder in any application).

windows_10_game_bar

Things are pretty self-explanatory here -- just hit the standard record button to start capturing footage. Hit the button again to stop recording, or you can use the Windows key + Alt + R keyboard shortcut. The Settings button can be used to place a limit on the length of videos that can be recorded -- this helps you to avoid filling up your hard drive if you forget to stop a recording. Videos are saved in MP4 format in the Videos\Captures folder.

i prefer to be ghetto

More tips, more knowledge, more money

Morning Craig - saw you a few minutes ago on Trevon's live stream! Last night was probably the best time to buy more cheap BTC because it just started to rise again this morning - let's go $3000! UASF be damned, we're going to $5000 or more this year!

Coinbase is a little sketchy when it comes to using a credit card to buy BTC and Gemini definitely has smaller fees - Gemini wins out! Damn I didn't know that about Exodus - thanks for the heads up!

Hello @craig-grant I am completely new to the Crypto world and looking forward to learn with your amazing post! Thanks from Mauritius!

Thanks for the this video, Craig. I just opened a gemini account and am switching from coinbase! Cheers!

Looks like I'll be setting up a Gemini account today.

Oh Gemini.. I'm coming for you!

Very interesting sjoe there is a lot to be learned blows my mind thank you for the info .

Once Craig recommends it. I ask no further question, I sign up and get on with the process

it s the first time I heard about this website. thanks

Couldn't agree more. Gemini is very legit bruv. Easily annihilates Virwox.

Sadness here man, I check it out, they haven't launch in my country, gonna be notify if they do, so for the moment, I can't

Gemini is now popular and I'm using it from last 2 days. It's very amazing and beneficial for all of us
Thank You for sharing @craig-grant

Thanks for the memo!

I am literally only 2 weeks into learning about bitcoin and all the information out there is overwhelming. I opened up a Coinbase account, but I have anything attached to it yet. I have no current plans to buy any bitcoin, as it is not in my budget. My hope was to earn it where I can and go from there. So, I'm wondering if I should look into Gemini instead. I like to deal with the least amount of websites as possible.

What exactly is bitcoin, whats the best way to get it?

Keen to gain insight into bitcoin. More details still needed. Thanks for motivating us.
