It looks like it’s almost that time. Alts have been gaining against Bitcoin for a full month now.
If you look at the charts of most Alts dating back to March 17th, if you made any purchases you are now sitting 2x. This is a prime example of not flowing with the tide but acting against the echo chamber.
I still caution to be responsible and take profits along the way and secure your initial investment.

It's good to hear from you brother. It had been so long I was almost thinking that something that happened. I've been throwing a little bit of money into my etherium wallet when I can. I've been thinking of expanding into another coin. I'm a light investor so there's no need to worry about me losing anything concerning my next question. Which coin would you pick? Also I'm about to begin mining ethereum. I have never mind before and I'm just using this as a starting point. do you believe there's another coin that I could mind also that would be profitable? March was a great time to top up the portfolio after the January bloodbaths. This was always going to be a make or break year for mainstreaming crypto and it's markets so to see a steady recovery is a good sign.
A lot of the news has changed away from the negativity and fear mongering of the past few months to more positive announcements and plans for the year.
Thing is there was no end in sight, so buying at anytime was a risk.
True but it had leveled off a lot by the end of the month. There was no increases but the huge falls had stopped. It's always a risk to buy crypto but the ones i buy are the ones the i believe in the end product. With that in mind I expect this to be a big year for mainstream adoption and expect to make gains over time.
For day trading there was a lot more risk but i was planning a bit more long term with my buys.

We seem to go in cycles of Alts moving up, then btc moving up. The Alts don’t seem to be seen as individuals yet. I suppose this will come as the space matures!

I think the best term would be cautiously optimistic. Good to see a few weeks of green again. I think looking at the historic BTC, it will give some idea of how alts will trend over the next few years. Patience will definitely pay off

It is officially alt season. I've been holding Monaco Card for almost a year now and this coin has been through some serious turbulence, today it went up over 120% because it got listed on Bithumb and I profited immensely. Other coins have been doing similar gains, unless you invested into Verge, then you've made negative gains, ha.
I think the biggest takeaway during a bullish market is to never invest more than you can afford to lose. We just came out of a pretty prolonged bear market and it was getting bad, to the point where the suicide hotline number was the most upvoted submission on Reddit in the /r/cryptocurrency subreddit a few months ago.
People need to stay safe, make smart investments and NEVER ever FOMO buy into a coin you know nothing about, that's the easiest way to lose your money.

The part with securing my initial investment is still in works since I was "smart" enough to buy in December and February...
At least I learned something about the crypto market game. My guess is that we'll see some serious green in June and July followed by another down trend till September. Time will tell though.
June July will be big for Btc, but if you look closely man Alts are ready to go boom due to roadmap completions.
I woke up today to some amazing looking charts. It's going to be a fun Summer with all of these profits in Spring! There are so many crypto partnerships under the table that we don't know about yet. It's just a matter of time until everything comes to light and crypto becomes mainstream.
