In 2016 I got to know about crypto via ponzi scheme known as MMM in Nigeria, it was a scheme that promises a roi of 30% per month for deposits via our local currency I.e Naira
but offers a higher roi of 50% per month for deposits via bitcoin. then bitcoin wasn't that popular in the country, eventually the scheme folded up but out of curiousity i have to research why there was so much increase in the roi for deposits via bitcoin but i couldn't get much information about it .
In december 2016 a friend of mine from the united states introduced me to a mutli level marketing platform called bitcoin investment i took advantage of it since it was a referral based platform eventually it crashed in 2017 saw online some games which i could play and be rewarded with bitcoin it took me about 6 months to make enough bitcoin for withdrawals.
In 2018 i had renewed for cryptocurrency and i bought bitcoin and etheruem since them i have been doing my part to educate other Africans and how they can utilize this opportunity to create wealth for themselves as well.
