I completely agree. I think one of the best ways to ensure the future viability of Bitcoin is to USE it, not just buy and hold. As a former banker, I can tell you that you hit the nail on the head. Bankers do NOT want the power of currency in the hands of the people.

I still work in the financial world and see the tue value of some crypto currencies. Clearly many of the ICO's are trash, but the underlying value in the blockchain and the true value of bitcoin and a handful of others are here to stay!
Yeah, I think of ICOs as an insanely risky investment. One would have to have more skin in the game than just investing.
