As I am writing this article, Bitcoin's price is continuing to set all time high records. There is a very good chance that over the next few months this trend will continue. What does this mean for early adopters that have a "buy and hold" mindset? Over the last 3 days, many hundreds, if not thousands, of bitcoin holders have become millionaires. As of today, if you are holding 300 or more Bitcoin, you are a millionaire! (USD) Now to most of us, 300 Bitcoin is allot, but you have to keep in mind that only 2 years ago this month (August 2015) you could have bought 1 Bitcoin for around $200.
In my opinion (and most others) it is not too late to join the Bitcoin millionaires club! There is an extremely good chance that the value of Bitcoin will continue to rise over the next few years and beyond. Bitcoin is a DEFLATIONARY asset. The amount of Bitcoin produced by miners will be cut in half again in 2020...and again in 2024, and every 4 years thereafter. Also, at this point, only 0.001% (maybe even less) of the world's population holds any Bitcoin. Combine just these two variables and you can see that Bitcoin has a very bright future to continue to grow in value as more and more people discover this world changing asset. Yes, there will more than likely be bumps in the road, but if you are discipline enough to buy Bitcoin, then just hold on to it over the next few years like the people described above did, you will eventually become a Bitcoin millionaire as well!
I sometimes worry about bitcoin at night. There is some comfort in thinking that every night, we are getting closer to the moon.
