These days bitcoin can be used to buy many things online. I was even able to fully create a website using bitcoin.
I didn't even use a credit card to do any purchase, which was so impossible in 2011.
At the time, so many people didn't know about bitcoin or what a blockchain was. The more bitcoin grew the more it became popular, now everyone is talking about bitcoin.
This is how far we have adapted cryptocurrency.

yes, you can now buy a car with cryptocurrency, you can use Litecoin or bitcoin to make the cryptocurrency
Porn industries
Before porn websites only used credit cards to purchase premium plans now I just noticed many of them started to adopt bitcoin as cash. even cam girls use bitcoin. and a lot of people prefer to use cryptocurrency since it is risky to provide your bank account details to third party payment methods.
Online stores.
These days online stores allow the use of cryptocurrency, they are even cryptocurrency stores available where you can purchase and get it sent to your home address.
The dark web.
You must have heard of the dark web, most people use Monero to trade illegal items on the internet. This was able to boost the popularity of Monero and even some other cryptocurrency
Payment methods
Website and apps pay users in bitcoin, just like they usually use PayPal as a secure payment method then, now bitcoin is being included.
Web hosting
not all website hosting accept bitcoin but you will still be able to create a website using bitcoins and other altcoins which is awesome.
Gamble with cryptocurrency
If you noticed, most gambling companies are now accepting cryptocurrency deposit and withdrawal, they are even a lot of dice gambling site available.

Where definitely turning the corner as far as adoption. Another year or two more businesses will accept crypto.
