In one of the videos Haejin explained that it seems like Bitcoin is somewhat immune to the Hurry Up and Wait syndrome whereas the Altcoins have long Hurry Up and Wait periods. He compared it to dominant and recessive genes where Bitcoin's gene is recessive and therefore less pronounced and the Altcoin's gene is dominant and therefore they have it bad.
