Binance donates more than one million dollars to flood victims in Japan

Binance, one of the most recognized exchanges in the world and the largest trading volume, recently announced the donation of one million dollars for the victims of the floods in western Japan.

"To help the victims of western Japan who were affected by the heavy rains of 7/7/2018, Binance will donate U2 $ 1,000,000 and we invite our crypto friends to join in this initiative."

Last Saturday, the Asian nation was hit by heavy rains that caused serious landslides and floods, with around 60 people losing their lives and more than 12 missing. Also, the evacuation of more than 2 million people in areas prone to be affected was ordered.

In this regard, Binance has urged its customers and potential donors to send ETH or ERC-20 tokens to the following address: 0xA73d9021f67931563fDfe3E8f66261086319a1FC, claiming that all transactions would be used exclusively for donations.

Changpeng Zhao, founder and CEO of the exchange; He invited the members of the crypto-community to contribute with this initiative, noting that he would announce the pertinent logistics as soon as his team designed it. "At the moment, we must act with haste and in a simple way, later we will build something more systematic," he added.

In addition, he commented that all the projects that made donations to the cause would obtain "points" for future applications. Also, at the time of writing this note, the management would have received more than US $ 90,000 in ETH and US $ 1.05 million in ERC-20 tokens.
