Bitcoin is extremely expensive and its price still surges up. We hardly afford to buy a single bitcoin not unless if you are that wealthy to buy one. We just bought a piece of it and invest in several lending platforms, stake or just hold it and wait for the price to surge up higher. Nowadays, bitcoin is a treasure and this is I think the first in history that a virtual thing is so expensive on a global scale. We are so lucky if we own even one bitcoin since there are so many ways to double or even triple its price in a short period of time. I am just wondering how they treat bitcoin way back in the time when bitcoin has just started. In the time that it is ignored and no value at all.
On 22nd of May 2010, in the time when bitcoin is just a year old - a certain Laszlo Hanyecz made the first transaction of bitcoin by asking his fellow enthusiast to order him two Papa John's Pizza in exchange of his 10,000 mined Bitcoin. That time, Bitcoin price is just $0.008 per coin and 5 days later of that pizza story, the bitcoin price surges 1000%. Today, Bitcoin is at $16.5k per piece and still rising. I am just wondering if Laszlo Hanyecz is in deep regret on what happened 8 years ago, he just simply dumped 10k bitcoin on two pizza's - In today's price, that 10,000 BTC is worth $165M+ of treasure, or maybe he is not totally regretful since he has a lot BTC in his wallet.
This pizza thing is considered as the first real-world transaction in bitcoin history and some do celebrate it as bitcoin pizza day.
Tethers are a cryptocurrency purported to be backed by US dollars, but in actuality are not backed by anything because they are not redeemable, no matter how much money Tether, Inc has in the bank.
I jave seen this pizza and bitcoin reference at many places but honestly we would not have bought btc at that time. Nobody could have predicted that it is gonna reach 18k. If they even had 1% hope of btc reaching at 18$ they would not have bought the pizza. And what about pizza shop owner. He had thise bitcoins? No I dont think so
Whoever got that 10k btc was so lucky if and only if he kept that btc til now otherwise, he too in deep regret 🤣

The only sad thing about this story is that you cannot buy a pizza anymore without paying twuce for the transaction fee. In a year or two everyone will be talking about how much first pizza purchase with Bitcoin Cash.

I think Hanyecz have so many bitcoins in his wallet since he is doing mining continuously even after he bought those epic pizzas, but to think those 10k BTC in today's price - it s really reasonable to regret, lol

Laszlo is also reported to have been one of the early contributors to the development of bitcoin source code, according to wikipedia. He must personally know who and where Nakomoto Satoshi is. Kudos to them, their efforts have caused a revolution which is addressing the inequitable distribution of wealth entrenched by the used of fiat money.
I agree, he is a programmer and maybe he knows who satoshi is or maybe satoshi is not a person but a group and Laszlo is one of them - just a wild guess, lol :)

Its not too late to invest in BTC. There are so many ways to multiply out coins. Currently, i do ICO's, i find it a faster way to earn bigger profits than any other platforms.
Which ICO's would you recommend in the coming future?
currently, i have 8 ICO's with coins in it (davor, ethconnect, ucoin, goldgate, hextra, unicoin, steneum & nucleus) and now im waiting for the internal exchange to open. These ICO's prices were already surging up ranging from 5$ to 30$ and i bought these @ a prices less than a dollar per coin.

Bitfinite - This will launch this coming Dec 18
And some of my earnings i invest here in steemit since i believe steemit is a long term platform and time comes it will surge its price. :)

ICO (Initial Coin Offering) - there are so many new coins that were launching daily and its price is too cheap @ less than $1 per coin. And when they open their internal exchange, its coin price will surge up as much as $10 or more depending on the demand. Imagine if you can buy 2000 coins in it.... If you hit the right ICO, surely you will reap thousands of $$$.

One thing that has always gave me an odd feeling about this story is that it was pizza. I do not know how many of you are dark webbers or know how the sexual criminal underground works, but pizza is a popular term.
I am of the belief that this initial transaction was bitcoin for child porn. Cheese Pizza = CP = Child Porn and pizza is a common shortening of that term.
Basically bitcoin, in the beginning, was very criminal and used a LOT in the child porn scene. These are just my thoughts and opinions on it. Who knows though, maybe it was a real pizza!
You have a point but, this has happened in the time when bitcoin is just infant or basically no value at all. Will anyone accept bitcoin for a payment in any criminal underground works like child pornography if bitcoin has no value at all? It surges its value when many investors or users become part of a peer-to-peer network - and that time the pizza story was already part of bitcoin's history as the first real-world transaction.
In my opinion, yes I would. Most certainly if I wanted others to start doing so as well. I am not saying I am correct about my theory, I just think it is possible. You do raise a good point though and you are most likely correct.

Certainly, Bitcoin also is used by those criminal minds due to its anonymity characteristics. They can transact freely with illegal goods without any hindrance from the authority since its absolutely untraceable. But for us, cryptonians, we will use this for good. Personally, i used bitcoin for my family needs an additional $$$ input for our daily expenses ;)
I had bitcoin a long time ago just because I thought it was cool. I used it over time and never thought much about it the last 5 years. Now that I have spent the last 3 weeks or so looking at this booming crypto market, I am starting to invest this week.
That is the main reason I am using steemit, to start my crypto portfolio somewhere, and because I feel over time my content will certainly earn...I just need followers.
Anyway, yes bitcoin is for great things now and we can all be happy about that. Let them use monero or USD for illegal stuff =)

The good thing about crypto is we don't need to buy a whole piece like stocks or bonds. We can buy pieces. This opens the door to those who can afford less to get their foot in the door.
