Of the 709 Crypto Currencies listed on CoinMarketCap there are a few that stand out as having features of Digital Cash. These coins are very interesting and will provide a basis for trade, particularly on the internet, and could even challenge fiat currencies for some uses.
In my next post I will look in detail at these currencies and explore the unique selling points that could make them valuable.
Digital Cash Currencies
There are only 8 on my list worth looking at. Here is what happened to their price in 2016:
- Bitcoin is one of course but is not shown in this graph as its off the scale compared to the other 7 coins
- Ethereum stood out early on, then levelled off
- Recent months was Moneros chance to shine but it has been declining since.
