RE: Bitcoin Manipulation 2017

in #bitcoin7 years ago

I am not in BTC, although I have several wallets for it now, thanks to steemit. Other than steemit, I was on the sidelines for this event. I have come to find out that most of these currencies are held by few people at the top and then a smaller amount is held by the little people. This uneven situation seems to be even worse (percentage-wise) than what is present in fiat currencies.

I believe that nothing is real in the numbers we see and will not be unless mass adoption comes in to dilute the whales who can manipulate the markets. But when these large swings are common, the masses will not join in and you cannot really blame them.

Some of the people I know from steemit are in countries where they can spend crypto easily in their local businesses. This is what I think needs to happen worldwide, and I hope I get to see it.

Sort:

Fundamentally meant to assist growth into areas, creating un-banked an easier method of transacting (so they said), easier over border transactions cutting down costs.

We have one BTC ATM that I know of where I live, no good when it is hundreds of kilometers away, at least it is a start.

Mass adoption in new FinTech will take a long time (my opinion).

Being minnows in Steemit, it is only by supporting each other, we will slowly grow, what I do enjoy here is copying others work is strictly forbidden, compared to Tsu where people could purchase images and load, by sending huge quantity of images into the system very quickly grew their earnings, nothing new being created (often wondered, where did creativity go?).

lol - I agree. Ah! tsu - those were the days.

"creating un-banked an easier method of transacting" This is a huge niche if someone wants to be honest and take the lead.

I actually asked about three years ago when a huge project launch was happening into Africa, actually got a reply that they were not too sure how it would go but would keep contact, never heard again.

Education is needed, once there is a good platform working internationally it will be worth taking on.

Current greed, the inevitable roller coaster ride I would never try to sell someone on an idea when most are poverty stricken under taxation and other laws, that is why @kryptonia is ideal to suit everyone, no need to outlay huge sums of money to get started.

Yes, and same for steemit. If I had to invest money instead of earning and spending it - I would not be here.
