Trezor is a very good thing to have, and it costs about $200. There are also some other devices that are about the same price, like the Ledger Nano S.
There are much cheaper ways to secure the coins, though.
A simple OTG Smart Phone USB Flash Drive for $9 would also do it. There is no screen and no extra security code, but it still does the job of keeping everything off the computer. In the end, data isn't important. It's all about the keys and secrecy.
The most important thing you need to know is: Always have total and utter control over both keys, public and private.
