History was made this month when Propy helped complete the first US real estate transaction on the blockhain.
For those unfamiliar, Propy is the global property store and decentralized title registry. Its goal is to put real estate transactions and records on the blockchain. I last wrote about them in January.
The transaction took place in South Burlington, Vermont.
It was on January 31 that Propy announced a pilot’s project with the city clerk’s office of South Burlington.
The goal was to record the pertinent real estate documents on the blockchain.
Natalia Karayaneva, CEO of Propy, said at the time, “The Propy platform will bring the widespread commercial use of blockchain technology to the State of Vermont. This change will enable South Burlington City Hall to further support their citizens by reducing costs and efficiently increasing government functions.”
It didn’t take long for something to happen.
Yesterday, ZeroHedge reported that city of South Burlington recorded the first US real estate deed completely on the blockchain.

This is only the beginning. I am very positive that a lot of US real estate based companies will take Blockchain into account and this will bring trillions of Dollars to the cryptocurrency market.

Wow... This is huge for the crypto world, finally some applications are really working.
I've invested in another ICO called Atlant, also working on real estate and p2p rental, hope they will succeed as well!

Wow, that's fast. I say at least a majority of states within 3 years on account of the fact this requires the help of politicians.
