More and more news comes from the fact that Bitcoin is increasingly used in widespread masses, even worth $ 10,000, but it should not be forgotten that it uses less than 1% of the world's population. Although a lot of noise has been created around the crypto currencies it is still a small fish in the world economy. Many people identify Bitcoin with a dotcom balloon, waiting for Bitcoin's balloon to break down so I can say they were right. But Bitcoin is not a company as it was during a dotcom balloon, it was technology, and more accurately it was compared with the arrival of emails in 1994, but with the dotcom balloon.
In 1994, email was used in widespread masses, but only 0.25% of the world's population used it. Although the email was invented far earlier, it had to come to 0.25% for many years. You must see similarities with Bitcoin, which was born in 2008, and has until recently been a toy for geeks and anarchists who were waiting for the world economy to fall apart. But it was just a hobby, it was used only for hobbies and nothing more. That year, the email was the only online application that had the potential to reach masses, and for the last couple of years, Bitcoin was the only cryptovalue and there were not as many as it is today. Or as it is today on the Internet where we have a bunch of applications, not just emails.
It was much harder to get Bitcoin before and it was even harder to use it. But this is changing today, with the arrival of an ATM where you can buy / sell Bitcoin, and until the rapid increase of its users, the whole usability has increased.
Today, Bitcoin has its purpose, and this is not accelerating payment transactions, Bitcoin is a means of storing value. While the other crypto currencies that come are solving more specific problems. Indeed, Bitcoin has jumped abruptly in the last couple of years and is rapidly growing at the moment, but if we look at how much mass has come, it almost does not. It is currently in the phase where everyone has heard of it, but it will take some time before people start using it.
