Bitcoin is banned in Islam say Egyptian authorities on religious issues
Bitcoin's digital currency is one of the most important events that has caught up on the media in the past year.

However, a group of Muslim leaders have asked for this currency to be forbidden to be used by Muslims, as it is considered "immoral", writes "Ahram."

The last call was made by Egypt's great Mufti Shawwi Allam, who stated that Bitco is equal to "gambling", which is banned in Islam.

Similar statements have also been issued by religious figures in Turkey and Saudi Arabia.

Egypt's great Mufti said "Bitcoin could have a negative impact on the legal certainty of young traders," while adding that this currency could "send money laundering and smuggling trade".

They probably feel like it is a giant threat to there established money system. Also crypto frees people financially and they do not like to loose control. I feel like they want people to be poor, and have to work hard for very little. This is too bad, it could have helped many people to break free of a hard poor life!
