I use the bts desktop wallet. Not sure why you think it’s insecure? You retain your private keys. You can create a back up file and it’s all password protected. Much more preferable to leaving them on an exchange which could fold at any moment and disappear with the lot
How exactly does a wallet "appear" to not be secure?
I noticed that if I close my browser and then reopen it and Goto bitshares.org, then click on the exchange it shows my account directly. I've tried to twice on two separate PC and the results were the same. That's insecure. When you that on Bittrex for example that's no the case.
Solution.....log out. Security is more your responsibility than any one else's. And just so you know, my browser absolutely does leave me logged into bittrex if I close it and immediately open it again.
