Thoughts on Bitcoin during the "correction"...

in #bitcoin8 years ago

Regardless of the ultimate fate of Bitcoin in particular, decentralization and disintermediation through blockchain (and more advanced technologies beyond blockchain) won’t be stopped.

There will be centralization efforts within the crypto space, but those can be held in check to some extent if people don’t buy tokens from companies associated with the central banks and other war-profiteering corporations.

Meanwhile, tremendous innovation will continue on the part of developers (and investors) who are hostile towards power-abusing big governments, central banks, and huge legacy corporations. Ergo, decentralization will continue, despite efforts at co-opting within the crypto space.

Bitcoin may bounce back from this “correction” but eventually it’ll become clear to larger numbers of people that there are many other picks in the crypto space which are more advanced and more useful, therefore better performing and safer over the next several years.

Assuming that Bitcoin will remain the crypto “gold standard” just because it was the first to market and still has the largest market cap and best name recognition is a mistake. That’s because it isn’t gold... it’s technology, which is changing very rapidly.
