NEO: Example of Laddering in your buys

in #bitcoin7 years ago (edited)

As NEO is correcting into a Wave 4, below chart shows an example of laddering in buys. The key is to use support/resistance to encompass a range what wave 4 can possibly end at. I often focus 50% of buys in the middle 3-4 rungs and spread the rest out evenly in the outer rungs. I pre-enter the orders and walk away. Often, only 3-5 rungs get filled and that's the beauty of it! You have less stress! This laddering method removes so much of the the fear and greed and thus allows you to actually build wealth! Fear and Greed are your worst enemies in any endeavor.

How often have you bought all shares in a single transaction and then saw the price keep going lower than your buy price? Painful! Laddering helps to address this. It took me over 15 years to realize and utilize this method and it works! Look at my earlier posts on how I've laddered 2/3 of my Bitcoins to take my >55% profit taking sales.

I agree buddy, looking forward to your analysis on bitcoin and etherium. What is your take on steem consistent low price? I think is good time to buy more and power up. Feel free to see my latest posts on issues we face on steemit and send in your suggestions. More success to you

Thanks... haha, I bought some more steem and it was not a good idea in terms of return, so don't take my advice on this!😂 I guess the simple answer is that supply is greater than demand. I.e., more sellers - whales powering down, and writers wanting to cash out to fiat for their work. This is still greater than the number of people who want to hold steem power. Price will keep falling until these balance! I'm pretty sure there is such a point, and it won't drop to 0! Anyway, if it drops really low I might consider doubling my stake or something like that😃

When I would I buy if I had any sense is when price has stopped falling (I.e., stable) for a long while i.e. weeks! I think this will happen eventually! Here's the chart I'd be watching:
https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/steem/#charts
And, from the shape of that graph, I would not be surprised if it fell to 50 cents! 😱
As i say though, I'd be looking for a 'flat' line before buying again!!

Good point bud, I agree with you. However I like your sense of ease in this hence why I used you as one of my motivational reference in my latest post about why steem cheap price should not worry us( feel free to see it) ...I see it as an advantage to buy and power up and thus having more whales and dolphines here in order to create more whales and thus make life more jolly for you guys. Steem is undervalued (as indicated in my post) and I think that the true value will be realised from next year and I will then fulfil my promise to you!!!!

Thanks!😀
And let's hope so!👍

welcome..
another issue is spammers..we gonna take fight to them

Haha.... let me know when you've figured it out ;)

Thanks for the reads!

It's also called scaling in and scaling out. Dividing the $ amount that you will take in a asset and dividing it into 3rds or ~25%. Initiating the buys as the price declines or rises.

Absolutely!

Good strategy indeed, upped. Descipline and less greed pays in the long rung. I am sure that you will do great with your strategy, keep it up.
Following you in order to stay in touch and send in my support.

Might be a newb question. But how did you determine the spacing for your dotted-lines/rungs?

Use 1 hour chart and use the support /resistance points to set the rungs.

Well this is a great program.

if neo goes up much more i'm going to kick myself for selling

such a valuable source to have. much appreciated as I am heavy invested in this company... keep spreading the knowledge as I torched .2 btc after my first lucky trading day gaining .1 btc i thought i had it figured out... was all luck, now I know my mistakes... ty ty

up voted great analysis,
do you usually take profits at 4 to buy lower if you thinking to hold long-term?
I love Neo long term and bought a large holding at $1.Havent sold any, but interesting opportunity to load up with same capital invested.
