Bitcoin will be one of the payment methods for accessing the ski slopes of Sankt Moritz, the tourist director Markus Meili will inform the Südostschweiz newspaper.

Meili told the newspaper he was not worried about the bursting of the bitcoin bubble, despite its value rising from January 2017 from 1000 to 17,000 dollars in a year. He added:
We must also accept the euro, regardless of its exchange rate. We must keep up with the times, especially when it comes to digitization
Meili also talked about the lack of intermediaries when doing bitcoin transactions, which is a big savings on commissions.

According to some Swiss Bitcoin experts, there are just over 200 companies in all sectors of Switzerland that accept payments in this cryptocurrency.
In September, the Swiss town of Chiasso, on the border with Italy, announced that it will be possible to pay in Bitcoin fees up to a value of 250 Swiss francs (CHF). Also in September, a restaurant in Zurich called Wurst & Moritz included Bitcoin as a method of payment in addition to cash and credit and debit cards.

Other stations remain skeptical of the use of cryptocurrency, such as that of Lenzerheide, also in the Canton of Graubünden. The owner of the station, Peter Engler, has indeed said referring to the digital currency:
Few people would have used it. And we have to go every morning in our exchange rate systems. For the bitcoin, which often varies, this update would have required too much work
