My Bitcoin stories for first-time investors

in #bitcoin7 years ago

Of course we just want to Johnber, Johnber, and Johnber again
(*Short for: Johnnage bertim. *Meaning: buy the coins and hold out in the market until finally achieving the goal),
and leave the coin market eventually. But how can we?

Let me a little something about my coin investment experiences.

It was already pretty late when I jumped into the market, as it was about the end of April 2017.
Since child, I was a bit of collector of things. So, if I had known about this Bitcoin,
I would have bought at least KRW 1 Million worth of coins…
shame I did not know about this earlier.

Had I known about Bitcoin and purchased it at least 2011,
I would have had at least 4million power of Steem… I imagine.

Anyway, as I knew nothing about Bitcoin until April 2017,
then I started studying cryptocurrencies for about 15 days.

Well, I’m a business man. That means before I start initiating a business,
I’m supposed to be very picky when it comes to business item choice.
I don’t want to fight a game when I can see the possibility of defeat.

Here is a (sort of) tenet about investment that I love:

If you know about it and you do it-it’s an investment
If you do not know about it and you do it – it’s a speculation

During the 15 days of study, bitcoin’s price went up from 200 to 300, to 440. And I started investing in the coin.

I wish I had invested during the 15days also as it went up so high.
However, as a result of the 15 days of study, I concluded that it will go up even further.

The reason is – the cryptocurrency markets and stock markets are so similar worldwide,
but as coins are not enough, many other currencies will join to the coin market.

It was not easy at first.
I did not have enough knowledge or faith in cryptocurrencies.
I just bought Ethereum classic and Ethereum alternately.
After that, when the already heated coin value became bearish, I had to sell them at a loss.
But again, if it went bullish, I was happy to collect just a few dozen thousands won.

But then I stopped myself and thought - this cannot continue.
I studied another way of investing coins, and started cloud mining.
I thought, as I’m not strong enough to Johnber in fluctuating this coin markets, nor have faith in the value of it, just purchasing Bitcoin would be an answer for all this, and that is why mining Bitcoin is the ANSWER.
That is how I started Bitcoin. And I earned some stable profit from it and wished it to end with happy ever after….

But the Bitcoin worth KRW 15million I purchased additionally,
dived by as much as 20% during my company meeting. And it was a trigger for yet another disaster.
To recover the loss, I went to Bittrex-an extreme type of speculation.

Then here again started the speculation horse races.
Among the coins that I put the money for short-term just to recover the loss, I found STRATIS
I thought “well, that one used to be 480K Satoshi, but now is 230K Satoshi.
Maybe I should put the money in”, and I did.
But just in one day, the value halved.
It further plummeted to 90000 Satoshi.

I was beyond crazy
My life was over and
All the coins would disappear…I thought

I try to regain my mental strength, so I opened a chat room with other like-minded people to talk.
But suddenly, just in one day, Strat rebound to over 180K.

Then I realized.

‘Alas, I’m in a game that I can lose everything and gain the all the loss again overnight.’

Since that event,

The following became one of my other tenets

“You are not in a situation that you cannot sell because you are losing, you are just waiting ahead of other people.”
“If you have studied a certain type coin and you sure about the coin’s value, buy more even when it looks bad.”

Since then, when the SegWit was bearish in August,
I did as per my belief. I bought more.
When the Bitcoin dived to KRW1.8 Mn, I bought more.
Since then I’ve never lost my faith on coins if I invested after studying it.

I mean, I can understand if a coin disappears from the market because of technical problems.
But if it just plunders due to bad news, selling it would be a wrong choice.
Of course, you sell it at a loss and can repurchase them at a low price point-
but this kind of investment is hard to do due to psychological factor.

I once read a very sad article
A man invested so much money in a cryptocurrency as much as hundreds and millions won,
even loaning some from his parents. But the chart crushed to KRW 50 million.
He gave up everything, and left the market.
If he had just waited and waited, because he had not enough knowledge about the market,
his hundreds of millions would have been dozens of billions won now.
The problem with beginners are that because they do not have general knowledge over coins,
they just put the money without much thinking and prey for their prices to rise.
They put the money, not knowing why they rise or fall.
But all price decrease and increase are associate with psychological and economic factors.
There is a cause, there is a result.
Of course, some coins are just used for price pumping,
but you should not so much as to look at them if you do not want to trash your money.
I met a person who was claiming that the Ripple was about KRW 4000 then,
it would go up to as high as KRW 1 million or 2 million in a year, asking my opinion.

If you decided to invest in coin, before actually putting in the money this is what you need to have.
You need to have certain mindset - That you are buying the coin because it will rise due to a certain reason,
and that is why you are investing in it for in a long-term period.
Just like I’m on continuously buying Steem. (now I’m promoting Steem)
If you have your own principle and study about it according to the principle, then invest.

You WILL get a big reward in a future.
