On a historical note: I had never heard of the Maasai people before, very interesting! Also, I can't resist pointing out that the French Revolution's depiction of a woman leading the assault you shared is not a representation of Jeanne d'Arc but of Marianne, a French symbol of reason and liberty. If she was a real person, Joan of Arc rather died 450 years before the beginning of the French Republic.
