The Morgan Stanley Bank analyst team, led by expert James Fawcett, sent a memo to the bank's customers a few days ago, noting that the real cost of the electronic currency was zero, according to the Business intelligence site.

Fawcett said in the memo that it is logically impossible to estimate the real value of the "bitcoin" electronic currency, which dropped by about 40 percent last week.

The note included Fawcett's answers to enquiries about the bitcoin" and explained that the "bitcoin" was not fully done in the sense that it was not linked to interest rates, nor was it a substitute for gold.

The bitcoin is an encryption-based digital currency, characterized as "decentralized currency", which does not control non-users, and are not subject to a watchdog such as "Government or central bank" as the rest of the world's currencies.

Central banks, including the Central Bank of Russia, are wary of dealing with them, and analysts also believe that the currency is only a bubble.

Last week, the "bitcoin" dropped 40 percent of its historic peak at 19343.04 dollars, which was recorded on Dec. 17, December. The digital currency was recorded at 13899.84, down by 0.54%, according to the CoinDesk site data.
