The short story is that, from a twitter post with refference to The James Altucher Report made a start to posts with this news that:
According to James Altucher, Amazon executive Scott Mullins confirmed Amazon will accept #bitcoin by as early as October,
Also, in the document says
October 26, at 4 p.m.
Then, i found that Amazon has some business interactions with blockchain technology (didn't knew till now) and that, it is a way to buy with bitcoin already. I put below details for all of that.
Hmm, seeing few places with this news but not in big ones, gives only one thinking.
It may be just a response from the HODLers! to Jamie Dimon and other big banks reaction to cover the bad news and trying to lead the bitcoin in upper trend.
Coincidence or not, it is up a bit ;-)
Anyway, going that way with no certain news it will lead to nowhere. Until an official position is taken, there is no certainty for that and therefore no real move.
Maybe in time, the bitcoin community will matter and will have the power to ignore bad news with bad intention from important people who create only FUD. The users and not mining companies who control the market.

What is sure for now is that we can use bitcoin on "Amazon" by using gift cards.
So, from my point of view, i don't think this will happen now. It is just fuzz on some blogs.
Also, the Bitcoin value is rising. At the moment of posting is

Let's see what is happening with all the bad news and the lately FUD.

I thought that Amazon already accepted bitcoin payments. The whole point of bitcoin was stop banks and the government from manipulating the currency, as usual they are trying to predict the market. Savy crypto currency investors should be realise this is the main reason why we want out of fiat currency because of bankers and government corruption.
As i said in the post, the current payment is with gift cards.
Bitcoin is the new road to payment. But we'll see in few years if other better coins will make their path to better usage. Bitcoin was the road opener.

If Amazon begins to accept Bitcoin. Bitcoin will shoot up astronomically. That would be some great news for the market.
Yes, but who knows what government will invent and will not be left without another fight.
Restrictions, regulations and who knows... prison. They can do that s*t just to show their tiny as power.
