In November, Bitcoin, might see a 3rd Bitcoin coin. Bitcoin Core developers stated that in November, they may not support the SegWit 2X. Their software will not accept the SegWit2X code. According to the New York agreement after SegWit was initiated the block size would double to 2 mega blocks three months later (November). Now that we have BCH, which has 2 mega block size, is the New York agreement needed?
The Bitcoin client would disconnect from any Bitcoin nodes that are signaling the 2X software. In other words, the Bitcoin software would refuse to "talk" to any nodes that was running the 2X software. What does this mean. Well, if anyone is running the 2X software after November, it would most likely become a fork and turn into a 3rd Bitcoin.
This is going to confuse the general population who are new to Bitcoin and crypto currencies in general. They will not know which Bitcoin to own and hold. FUD (fear, uncertainty, doubt) is not helping anyone as well. I guess this is what we can expect in the decentralized wild, wild west of FinTech.

Fintech is a fickle world. The death knell has been sounded time and again. MSNBC even did a recent article called "The rise and fall of bicoin." Seriously? I agree that FUD creates a lot of tension, but the technology is too important to fail. Setbacks, maybe. I am sure forks will continue to happen. But being in the "wild west" is exciting. Recognizing that WE are taming the west.
