Losing money is never a good experience and for any Bitcoin owner losing all of your Bitcoin holdings is a painful experience any owner can go through.
Eric Savics lost 12 BTC to a phishing scam, precisely all his Bitcoin holdings. At the time of writing this post 12 BTC equates to $109198,80 that is a tragic lump sum to lose.

The crypto community shows some solidarity gestures in less than 48 hours after Eric Savics put up a post on twitter pleading whoever has his BTC to return some of it leaving his BTC wallet address.
As as the time news Link donations from the crypto community stands at 0.7 BTC which is slightly above 6k currently.

I feel this is good coming from the crypto community, having to donate to someone that lost his funds to a phishing mistake is something we really don't see out there often.

Here are nine tips to protect our funds

  1. Secure your wallets
  2. Two factor authentication
  3. Double and triple check addresses
  4. Avoid clicking unknown links
  5. Avoid logging on to public wiffi networks when using your wallet

Keep those funds safe folks!

We owe it to ourselves to make Hive great
