The number of Bitcoin-ATMs in the world has exceeded 3000!

The number of Bitcoin ATM machines worldwide has exceeded an important milestone of 3000 in May, and this number continues to grow rapidly. On average, 6 new ATMs a day are added to the world.

Despite the reduced price background of the last time in the market of crypto-currencies, the Bitcoin-ATM market looks healthier than ever.

The latest data from CoinATMradar show that the number of vending machines surpassed the number of 3000 in mid-May and currently stands at 3125 machines worldwide.

This milestone comes just 15 months after the number of BTMs exceeded the 1,000 mark in early 2017, indicating an accelerating rate of deployment of the network, which now stands at 6.15 units per day.

In addition, the share of bilateral machines that allow both buying and selling crypto currency has also increased to more than 35% with improved equipment, whose operators charge fees on both sides for an average of 8.77% per transaction.

At the same time, Bitcoin remains king, despite the growing number of trading options for altcoyins. In fact, 99.99% of all machines support Bitcoin, while only 50% of all machines support any type of altcoyin. Of these, lightcoin, supported by 47.8% of ATMs, is the most popular, and the air ranks second - it can be found in 28.1% of cars.

Of 31 total equipment manufacturers, the top three include Genesis Coin (34.37%), General Bytes (27.49%) and Lamassu (11.23%), which account for more than 70% of the total market.

At the same time, the United States remains the clear leader of BTM installations with more than 1800 machines, Canada is on the second place, whose account is 477, followed by Austria, which is in third place with 174 units of this type of equipment.

There are ten Bitcoin ATMs installed in the Prague Metro. And thanks to the softening of regulatory rules in Argentina, there were 4000 new ATMs.

Of course, Bitcoin ATMs are just one aspect of a much larger industry that provides buying and selling services for crypto currency. Indeed, the number of physical ways to buy Bitcoin, whether it's vouchers, gift cards, web money kiosks, etc., is much larger - there are tens of thousands of them all over the globe.

For example, anyone can buy bitokoyn in 1357 railway kiosks in Switzerland.

In Australia Bitcoins and ethers can be bought at newsstands. Ukraine boasts almost 7,000 Web-money kiosks, which also allow buying Bitcoins. And the growing network of cash machines Flexepin in Canada is found in more than 5500 locations.
