It seems to be an interesting dance related to the current number of unconfirmed transactions (if there are few to none, even a transaction with no fees will go through as miners work just to get the block reward) and the size of the transaction in question. It should have nothing to do with the amount of bitcoin involved. Could be 1000 bitcoin or .01 bitcoin. What matters (I think) is the amount of data in the transaction which is mainly determined by the number of inputs and outputs. You can explore your transactions over at tradeblock.com to see what might have been different between them. The volume of transactions during the 1.5 BTC transaction may have played a role along with the timing for confirming blocks. Though blocks are generally solved every 10 minutes, sometimes it can be over an hour before any miner gets a solution. Sometimes only a minute or less.
Tin cans and string, I tell you. Tin cans and string.
yeah, Steem has spoiled us. Hey I have a question: is the wallet in Steem considered to be a micropayment web wallet?
But let's keep complaining about it non-stop... that's more fun. ;-)
Hehehehe
Well, you know that the CEO of Yours has claimed to be the first one to create a micropayment web wallet. I got to thinking.....don't we already have one in here?
Hmm. Maybe. Guess it depends on how things are defined.
I almost forgot Yours existed.
Well, doesn't really exist yet but you know what I mean, haven't heard anything about it in so long.
and sometimes I feel like we have a wallet of the future, in an undeveloped ecosystem...
Most things which exist before viable competitors will be seen as undeveloped compared to the dreams, visions, and expectations put on it. For me, it's great. I've been blogging more in the last 6 months than I have in years and that's because of this ecosystem. I've learned a lot, I've met some really interesting people, and I'm happy. My expectations are aligned with what exists today.
Then again, part of the reason I'm so excited about this platform is because of the wallet of the future, complete with account recovery features, savings accounts, a pegged asset which actually seems to be functioning correctly, and more. The tech is amazing.
great... I am trying to buy Dogecoin now
basically, there's a lot in here. Now, if users could be retained......
