Nice one, let's hope that all other coins make some gains along with BTC too.
Do you recommend buying some BTC before the hardfork? For example, I could sell a bit of my Steem for BTC. I've been thinking about it for a while, not just because of the hardfork, but just to diversify my portfolio.
I couldn't recommend anything - I'm sorry. I mean, I personally am convinced that Crypto currencies is the future of transactions. BlockChain technology is groundbreaking and will not go away. We need it, and it's an industry that will grow huge. Possibly take over and be the backbone of every technology in the future.
But who knows..we could go decentralized and free, or governments will tighten the grip. Who knows. Not me.
But Bitcoin has taken a role as the "safe" haven..a place where you store your purchasing power after making money on a speculative token or a serious business whomd you bought stocks(coins) from, and invested in. Your profit goes into your Bitcoin or even Litecoin wallet where it's safe.
We're not quite there yet. I wouldnt go as far as to call Bitcoin safe. But I honestly believe it will be in the future. I'm willing to bet quite a lot of my net worth on that..
Just make sure you don't put money you cant afford to lose into it. ALways make sure you can afford a new fridge or a car if yours break down. Owns some robotics etfs, some gold some silver. Don't bet it all one one card. But personally I'm betting the most on crypto currencies. I couldnt live with myself if I didnt take the chance.
I totally agree that crypto is the future. For me right now it's just a question where exactly to put the wealth I already have invested in it. Bitcoin seems the logical way to go because of the stability and popularity of it. The risk would be government regulation, as you say. But I don't think they can ever fully ban it.
Thanks for the long answer!
