Comparing Bitcoin to Tulips show that you have no understand of what Bitcoin is

in #bitcoin7 years ago

Even today, late 2017 we can read dumbed down articles written by people who calls themselves journalists. Half ass attacks on Bitcoin and Crypto currencies calling it a Tulip bubble and Tulip frenzy.

First of all, the Tulip bubble happened in the 1630's. Ahh..the 16th century. Mercantilism, Copernicus, and Tyco Brahe. The modern world and the enlightentment was not yet there, but the dark ages was over and ideas and some concepts of freedom and hope emerged.

The funny thing about comparing Tulips to Bitcoin is that it is completely wrong. It doesn't make any sense. One should rather compare it to Fiat-currencies.

Tulips have no intrinsic value - just like Fiat currencies

Bitcoin on the other hand represent a unique and brilliant way of sharing information - the Blockchain. It is the Blockchain that is the technology. Bitcoin is only the "wow..we have this new technology, let's create a financial system, because we can"

What journalists don't seem to get is the BlockChain. And the BlockChain is the perfect system for transactions.

  • First of all it is created by the people for the people
  • It doesn't need a middle man like a bank. You are your own bank.
  • You have total control over your own funds
  • Transactions are instant

When it comes to privacy, Bitcoin is anonymous in the sense that you can hold a Bitcoin address without revealing anything about your identity in that address. You can hold two addresses, and there would be no linking between them.

On the other hand, everything that happens with transactions is trackable. Bitcoin transactions are logged in the Blockchain.

Banks who issue Cryptocurrencies ?

This is what banksters openly are discussing. And this is what I suspect is causing concern with people. What happens when our central banks issues their own cryptocurrencies? Like the Norwego, Swedistano, or Amero?

An analysis by the Bank Of International Settlements concludes with "neeh..perhaps..mmm..maybe" when it comes to the issuance of cryptocurrencies from regulated centralized banks. Why can't they just make their own cryptocurrencies?

First of all, those currencies will always be pre-mined fiat money with potential inflation levels of incredibly high based on the current debt system that enslaves us and will eventually fail.

Banks know this, so they really don't want to use the BlockChain. But at the same time they see how great the technology is, and that the BlockChain can be used for other purposes, and even if they wanted to kill the BlockChain they can't. It can't go away unless they kill the Internet or the power. Even if they did, we are so smart now that people will work through that and power their own Internets.

Banks realize they are fucked, so they would need to impersonate BlockChain, or perhaps use it but make it illegal to transact directly - or more likely put a fee on every transaction. They will have to issue their own "CryptoCurrency" called the Italiano or the Francero which basically will be a digital fiat-currency. Just like we have now, but without the physical also worthless paper money.

You can't mine it, you need a centralized account and you have to pay fees. They will tell you that you are now using the BlockChain! And that the Norwego is now a legit CryptoCurrency. The sheeple will rejoice much.

Now this is why journalist doesn't seem to understand Bitcoin. Bitcoin basically proves that we don't NEED banks. And it is so bluntly exercised. "Here's the BlockChain. We don't need banks"

The banks are in a race with Bitcoin and other CryptoCurrencies. The more people buy and use Bitcoin, the larger it grows and the more intrinsic value it gets. With every bad news coming out (which is daily now) the scaremongering is scaring away stupid and non-educated people. The establishment is rattling their sabers. Lies and fake news every day - zero articles in the mainstream with understanding of what Bitcoin is and is not.

What can stop Bitcoin?

The only thing they can do to stop Bitcoin is to become totalitarian - ergo they will prove our point. Governments are totalitarian. This is risky, because it could cause too many humans to wake up. So they need to try and scare people away from it. Another possibility is to accept and withdraw. I doubt that is their first option.

Right now we are at the stage of scaremongering. Fake news about Bitcoin, threats of bans and regulations.

It is in a way up to us. It is a "social contract" so to speak. Things only have value because they are valuable to people. If you enjoy freedom, liberty, fast transactions and no more hopeless banks you buy and hold and use Bitcoin. If we together decide that Bitcoin is our choice - then it will be that way. If we are scared away, pulled back into the centralized enslaving system, we lose yet another battle.

With the BlockChain we've got the best tool in history to get rid of the chains of our ruling classes. All you have to do is Buy and/or hodl Bitcoin. Sure, use Bitcoin. That's great. But don't convert it into Fiat.

Bitcoin is not only about getting rich or preserving wealth - it is also an ideological stand.

Nice one dude. Bitcoin and the blockchain is more of an ideological project than an investment opportunity. I wonder how far we would have come by now if nobody cared about the price, but only the technology behind it.

the future of bitcoin is very bright.

Sure, Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies rise by speculation. Blockchain is just speculation. Blockchain is the future, and will eventually supplant fiat currencies and the slavish bank system. More than a simple monetary phenomenon, is a complete social, economic and ideological revolution, one of the bastions of the real freedom and independence.
