A petition on Change.org is urging Amazon to accept Bitcoin and Litecoin as forms of payment. The petition has almost 4,000 supporters and is beginning to gain momentum.
The petition, addressed to CEO Jeff Bezos, lays out the argument as follows:
Amazon should show continued leadership in innovation by eagerly accepting two of the most trusted and proven cryptocurrencies in existence: Bitcoin and Litecoin.
Acceptance and intelligent integration of these efficient and groundbreaking payment methods will lead to more streamlined commerce and an improvement in the purchasing experience for the many millions who shop Amazon. This logical expansion in the payment options for Amazon's customers would help to proactively modernize the purchasing process and ultimately improve quality of life by bringing together the most efficient distribution systems with the most efficient and convenient payment systems available.
If accepted, this would be a huge boost for the cryptocurrency world. Many believe that cryptocurrency prices are experiencing a bubble, but if Bitcoin continues to be used in more and more mainstream locations, I believe the current valuation is just the beginning. Keep in mind that, if this happens, and you attempt to buy Bitcoin when you hear the announcement that Amazon will begin accepting it, you will likely have already missed most of the price spike that it will cause. The best play, as always, is to accumulate and hold. That is just my personal opinion.

You dont need to petition them they will goes where the money is, if walmart accept bitcoin amazon will follow.

This would be a huge milestone for the crypto community! Many people have feared getting into it for lack of spending options, this would ultimately kill that argument dead in the water. THIS IS A GAME CHANGER

I'm in business myself, I actually accept Bitcoin to my personal wallet when making a transaction. Any business should be accepting any form of payment. Bitcoin is becoming more and more usable, strong crypto should follow the same footsteps. But one thing I learned in business, take all forms of payment! We accept all forms of credit cards, and I feel safer with the Bitcoin! Smaller fees too!
I am looking at adding it to the thatsticker.com payments. Shopify has a way to make that happen!

I would recommend BTC and ETH instead. ETH is more suitable for daily use of the public.
I'm not sure I understand why you say that. The main value of ETH is the addition of smart contracts. LTC is actually faster and more efficient for day-to-day transactions, is it not?

global acceptance of cryptos at this stage knowing Amazon's risk profile and how that company ticks...doubt it. bezos is in the club as George Carlin used to say. that by default means he doesn't like Trump and hates Bitcoin :)
Amazon and Ebay need to get with the program on this! There is no time to waste... Which major online retailer will be first to incorporate crypto as a payment method and gain first mover advantage? Will it be you Amazon?

Let me tell you a story about Amazon that few people have heard. An Amazon rep wanders into a trade show and sees a company that makes robots. If you have ever seen a Roomba vacuum thing Roomba's big brother with an attitude. So, rather than buy as many robots as they need and put in a purchase order for more, Amazon bought the whole thing.. hook, line, and servo. That said, Amazon is not going to be swayed by an online petition. The better approach would be for everyone to light up customer service asking why they cannot pay with crypto since it is on their radar anyway. Just an opinion and some inside information to boot. Get it.. to boot. See what I did there?
