Keep in mind that a few million BTC have been lost over time. There are also tens of thousands of dormant BTC addresses with over 25 BTC, which may be stuck forever with lost access. This bodes well for your point, but proposes the potential that these wealthy individuals will seek alternative cryptos to create similar demand for a practical and comparable alternative.
