The reason for this post is because of a statement coming from Meltem Demirors, director of the Digital Currency Group, an investment company which invests in currencies and crypto blockchain businesses. She believes that Bitcoin will boom shortly on or after the 15th of January. Reason for this is that Wall Streeters will get their bonus on that day.
She literally wrote on Twitter:
'Get ready for an explosion!'
Every start of the year Wall Streeters receive their bonus. This is the time of the year that traders will gamble with their money in the hope to make some more money.
It is likely that bonuses will be clocked in around $138,000 on average for a trader. This is based on the report from New York State Comptroller Thomas di Napoli.
Some people describe those traders as young, aggressive people who make their decisions spontaneously. The quote is coming from a car dealer in New York, who is experiencing around those time traders who are coming in with their bonus, like a car and immediately buy it.
Till now young people have been watching from the sideline, but this could be the case that Wall Streeters are going to buy crypto with their bonus. This could result in a boost in the Bitcoin value but also in the total crypto value next week.

Personally, I wouldn't count on it. I do not know how much money that is in total, and a price surge of the quantities that tweet is implying requires millions of dollars.
Well the bonuses will be millions of dollars. However the amount that will float into crypto is a big question mark. Personally I think it will not have a huge influence either, but it could give it a little boost of course.
