Webcoin is an interesting new ERC-20 token that has only been listed on CMC since August 2018. Webcoin aims to be the social mining currency of the future, and the are branding themselves as the new Digital Marketing 2.0. Webcoin also enables advertisers to spend less money while rewarding their users for paying attention to their content. If an advertiser is interested in using Webcoin to advertise then they will buy Webcoins in bulk and then re-distribute their tokens to their users who will be able to cash out their earnings on the exchanges. Webcoin's main focus is to reduce the advertising costs for companies that typically advertise on popular social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, and Google. Webcoin claims that advertisers can expect a 10 times better ROI from using their services as well as reducing their overall costs of advertising.
Since Facebook and Google have recently placed a ban on cryptocurrency advertising, Webcoin will be able to work around this and also allow international advertising on Asian social media networks like WeChat and Tencent QQ, two of the largest Asian social media networks, which have advertising restrictions. Webcoin believes that by rewarding users with Webcoins for viewing their content paying some expensive social media influencers won't be as necessary.
In addition, Webcoin will require little electricity to work and will require small amounts of GPU and CPU hardware in order to work. Also, Webcoin only has a marketcap of $201,000 right now but it has nearly 100% of it's $401,000 trade volume in the last 24H coming from HotBit. I would say this is decent trade volume for a coin of this size marketcap. Webcoin continues to be very active on Twitter these last few months, which I would say means that this bear market hasn't fazed them too much.
According to their Roadmap the Beta release of this project is scheduled for Q1 2019. Also, when you visit their website you will be able to see a link to their Github. I also believe that if they are able to keep up their relatively high trade volume in this bear market, then I would expect them to be listed on a bigger exchange soon. I would say that this project is fairly valued currently and has potential to do well in the next few months, but you should make your own decision here.
