I find it interesting to think about it as "new money" vs "old money". In that sense, it's obvious that BTC will continue to be volatile for quite a while. Either because "old money" will try to push it down or because (and I think that's more likely) "old money" wants to keep the power dynamic, hence they need more BTC, ETH, etc.
