WTF IS HODL !? Are you a HODLER !? I'm a HOLDER!

Yesterday I saw the word HODL for the first time, So naturally I ask: "WTF IS HODL?"

I am a bit late, apparently the word HODL has been in use since December 18, 2013.

Well, a quick Google search revealed that HODL is not a typo of HOLD but an acronym for "Holding on for dear life!" . Read the below post from GameKyuubi over at Bitcointalk who reportedly invented this acronym with this post:

I SHOULD HAVE SOLD MOMENTS BEFORE EVERY SELL AND BOUGHT MOMENTS BEFORE EVERY BUY BUT YOU KNOW WHAT NOT EVERYBODY IS AS COOL AS YOU. You only sell in a bear market if you are a good day trader or an illusioned noob. The people inbetween hold. In a zero-sum game such as this, traders can only take your money if you sell.
