I just watched a video with Jimmy going through Greg Maxwell's email to bitcoin. Greg has come up with a way to include smart contract info into a basic bitcoin transaction that doesn't compromise privacy. It looks like a simple Alice pays Bob tx. Greg also avoided any extra overhead costs to the blockchain. This could open a new era of privacy on the bitcoin blockchain. I don't understand every twist and turn of it, but Jimmy goes through the email sentence by sentence and did a great job of explaining things.
