Why Is the Ethereum Price Tanking? Here Are 4 Possible Reasons
Crypto markets are down across the board, and that’s nothing new. But what’s behind Ethereum losing 44 percent of its value in just two weeks? From August 1 to August 14, crypto’s number two went from $470 to $260. That’s its lowest level since November 2017. It was trading at around $285 at the time of writing.

Capital One Applies for Blockchain-Based Collaborative Authentication System Patent
American bank holding corporation Capital One has filed a patent application for the implementation of blockchain technology in user authentication, according to a filing published by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) August 16.
According to the document, the inquiry is a continuation of a patent application submitted by Capital One to the USPTO in June 2017. The proposed system is designed to receive, store, record, and retrieve authentication information for a user in multiple blockchain-based member platforms.

November BCH Upgrade Discussion Heats Up After Bitcoin SV Full Node Announcement
Blockchain development firm Nchain has announced the company’s plans to launch a new Bitcoin Cash full node client called ‘Bitcoin SV.’ Lead developer Daniel Connolly has published the specifications for re-enabling old opcodes for the November 2018 BCH upgrade. So far the unpublished codebase has seen vocal support from the mining pool Coingeek, but right now some members of the BCH community are concerned that if no other miners switch to Bitcoin SV, the proposed upgrade could cause incompatibilities.

Today, we had the first test on the resistance line at 1$ since the big drop that we had on the STEEM. As you can see, we just had a wick to go almost touch the resistance line and immediatly after, we had a drop and this is why we see this long wick. Now the STEEM should start to consolidate a little bit and perhaps even do a little drop and what I want see is another test to break this line in orange. Let's see what will happen in the coming hours.
