On august 1st everybody received the same amount of bitcoins in bitcoincash for exemple if you have 1.5 bitcoins you will receive 1.5 bitcoin cash. So what people saw is "woah! free bitcoin!" The thing is that most people when they will realize segwit isn't activated, they will go to bcc wich will make it go up alot
Now Personaly I don't have alot of bitcoins but now I have about 1$ of bcc (bitcoin cash) and I think It will go up
